Musicians United NYC presents “Freedom First,” a jazz tribute to Keith LaMar, a wrongfully convicted death row prisoner in Ohio. 

Keith is scheduled to be executed on November 16, 2023 even though he has maintained his innocence for nearly three decades and illegitimate tactics from a corrupt and racist prosecutor undermines the reliability of his conviction. 

“Freedom First” intends to highlight racialized injustice, because the “legal” lynching of Black lives must end. 

Keith is still with us — he’s still breathing — and we must make his life matter.
